1. Introduction


These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you and Hydout Ltd (registered in England and Wales with company number 15821355) concerning your use of our website, bookings, and related services.

In these Terms:

  • "Hydout", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Hydout Ltd.

  • "you" or "guest" refers to the person making a booking and any individuals staying at a Hydout cabin.

  • "Cabin" refers to any Hydout accommodation or property made available for booking.

By accessing our website or making a booking, you agree to comply with these Terms.

2. Our Service

Hydout offers off-grid cabin stays in rural locations, providing guests with an opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature.

Our cabins accommodate either solo guests or two individuals per booking (for example, friends, partners, or otherwise).

Guests must be aged 18 years or over.

Each cabin is self-contained with sleeping, cooking, and bathroom facilities.


3. Bookings and Add-Ons

When you make a booking, you agree to pay all charges for the stay and any other items ("Add-Ons") identified during checkout. These Add-Ons may include, but are not limited to, firewood, meat boxes, pet extras, yoga sessions, and fire classes.

When you receive your booking confirmation, a binding contract ("Booking") is formed between you and Hydout.

By booking a stay, you also agree to comply with:

  • These Terms and Conditions,

  • The cancellation policy,

  • Any house rules, standards, policies, or additional requirements identified during the booking process or provided in the pre-arrival information.


It is your responsibility to review and understand these rules before confirming your booking.


4. Arrival, Departure and Property Condition

Check-in is available from 3:00pm onwards on your scheduled arrival day.
Check-out must be completed by 11:00am on your departure day.

The cabin and site must be left clean and tidy.
If the cabin is left in an unacceptable condition, we reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning or repair services. This will be charged based on reasonable costs and invoiced to you.

If any items are removed from the cabin, you will be charged the full replacement value of the item.

Items left behind may be returned to you upon request. A postage and handling fee may apply.

Hydout may deduct any costs for cleaning, repairs, or missing items from the security deposit held at the time of booking, where applicable.


5. Guest Responsibilities

By making a booking, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and any members of your party during your stay.

You agree to:

  • Treat the cabin and surroundings with respect.

  • Leave the cabin clean, tidy, and in good order on departure.

  • Pay for any damage, loss, or breakages caused by you, your guests, or pets.

  • Follow all safety guidance and local laws, including fire safety regulations.

Failure to comply may result in additional charges, or termination of your stay without refund. 


6. Restrictions


  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside any Hydout cabin.
    If you wish to smoke, you must do so outside and dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Smoking inside cabins will result in additional cleaning charges.

  • Open Flames: No candles, incense, or open flames are permitted inside the cabin. Only the fireplace, fire pit, or stove provided by Hydout may be used. 

  • Pets: Pets may only stay at the cabin if explicitly agreed at the time of booking. Pets must be kept on a lead where required and must not be left unattended. Owners are liable for any damage or harm caused by their pets.

  • Photography and Filming: Commercial photography, filming, and drone use are not permitted without prior written consent from Hydout.


7. Cancellations, Amendments and Refunds

Guest Cancellations

  • 28 days or more before arrival:
    You may cancel for a full refund, reschedule your stay, or receive a voucher for a future booking.

  • 14 to 28 days before arrival:
    You may reschedule your stay or receive a voucher to the value of your booking.

  • Less than 14 days before arrival:
    No refund will be offered. 100% of the booking total is payable.

  • Bookings made within 14 days of arrival:
    A 48-hour cooling-off period applies, during which you may cancel for a full refund or reschedule your stay.


Refunds will be processed back to your original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear.

Amendments

If you wish to amend your booking, you must notify us at least 28 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Amended stays are non-refundable.

Hydout Cancellations

In the unlikely event that Hydout must cancel your booking (for reasons such as cabin damage, accessibility issues, or safety concerns), we will:

  • Offer you an alternative date; or

  • Provide a full refund.

We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, such as travel expenses.


8. Additional Requests and Guests

All special requests (such as early check-in, late checkout, or special arrangements) are subject to availability and must be requested in advance.

The number of guests must not exceed the number confirmed at the time of booking.

No additional visitors are allowed to visit the cabin during your stay without prior written agreement from Hydout.

Charges may apply where additional guests are accepted.

9. Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance covering accommodation cancellations, personal belongings, personal injury, and unforeseen circumstances.

Hydout accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to your personal property during your stay.

10. Liability and Indemnity

Hydout accepts no liability for death, personal injury, or loss or damage to property unless caused by our proven negligence.

You agree to indemnify Hydout against any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your breach of these Terms and Conditions;

  • Your use of the cabin;

  • Any negligent acts or omissions by you or members of your party.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Hydout’s liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11. Third Party Websites and Platforms

Hydout may provide links to or integrate with third-party websites and services (including, but not limited to, booking systems and payment providers).

Hydout is not responsible for the accuracy, content, or availability of any third-party websites or platforms.

You access third-party websites entirely at your own risk.

12. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All content and materials on Hydout’s website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, designs, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to Hydout Ltd and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, display, post, or transmit any material without our prior written consent.

Use of automatic systems or software to extract data from our website for commercial purposes (commonly known as "screen scraping") is strictly prohibited without express written consent.


13. Privacy and Marketing Communications

By making a booking or signing up to our marketing communications, you agree that we may use your personal information to:

  • Manage your booking and stay;

  • Send you service-related communications;

  • Send you marketing communications if you opt in.


You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the link provided in the email or contacting hello@hydout.co.uk

14. Data Protection

Hydout will process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Hydout acts as a Data Controller for the purposes of providing our services to you.

We will not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to deliver our services (for example, payment processors such as Stripe) or where required by law.

15. Notices and Communications

Any notices or communications under these Terms must be made in writing.

Hydout may deliver notices to you by email (to the address provided at booking) or by posting them on our website.

Notices will be considered received on the day they are sent (unless a bounce-back is received); or
Immediately upon posting on our website.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted, and the rest shall remain in full force and effect.

No delay or failure by Hydout to exercise any right shall be taken as a waiver of that right.

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

You and Hydout agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
